"When you're on a really long voyage, you have to get beyond asking, "Are we there yet?" and instead start asking, "Are we making progress?"

The point is, life is a voyage. Which brings me to another question: "Are you going to just be a passenger, or are you going to grab that steering wheel, hit the gas, and drive?"

This blog is my attempt at doing just that. You could describe me in a lot of different ways - wife, mother, administrative assistant, teacher, writer, Christian, sister, daughter, friend - to name a few. Yes, I can be characterized by each and every one, but not one single role defines me.

And so, this is Nicole's journey, plain and simple. The things I get to do, the people I get to be along the way, are just the scenery.
