I remember things always being tight financially when we grew up. But Christmases were always special. Somehow our parents always came through; I realize now that they often had help, but I don't recall a single year not being dazzled by what we found under the tree.

At my first reading, it was my heart's cry for that time in my life. I have read it 2-3 more times since, and I am still impacted immensely.

I couldn't decide which of these two I like more. And there was another photo I was trying to find, but couldn't remember where the file is. So, these will have to do.
Both were taken by my hubby. The second one I helped him "set-up" (idea, angle). I find them both intriguing and beautiful in different ways.
