Hello all,
I am in dire need of an original photo that would look nice on our website (church) for our Christmas Eve candlelight service. It doesn't have to be candles - it could a Christmas tree, fireplace...just something that says "cozy", "calm", "peace", "quiet celebration", etc.
Anyone have one I might borrow/use for a few weeks?
A lot of you in my Vox Neighborhood are good photographers.
Not just good. Great.
Now that I oversee our church's website and various promo items, I am constantly looking for fresh, innovative, creative, original photos. On a limited budget.
Limited meaning I actually don't have a budget to purchase photos.
If you'd like to help a girl out by allowing me to occasionally use photos of yours that you've posted here or on other hosting sites, such as Flickr, would you send me a PM? I will let you know what I use, when I use it.
(I will not use photos that show any identifiable parts of a person, such as their face - I am looking for still shots, scenery, or photos with people's faces obscured - or just feet, legs, hands, etc. And if I am using a lot of your photos, it would move into a paying gig - or, I can give you a charitable contribution letter if you let me know the value.)
Gracias!
Per Hannah's request, here's my "third photo":
The how-cool-is-that part? And in about 11 days, we should be in front of this landscape again.
So, here are the rules if you care to participate:
Go to the pictures on your computer.
Go to the third folder.
Post the third picture in the third folder.
No cheating.
Now, why can't the QotD's be this fun?!
Not bad for almost two decades together, eh?
The Daughter was invited to the Junior/Senior Banquet by The Boy We Really Like, and she said yes. The big event was Friday night. I'd been looking forward to helping her get ready that afternoon, but The Flu That Keeps on Giving was kicking me in the ass in a most splendiforous fashion with continued temps in the 101 range all the live-long day.
Thankfully, my mom had already made plans to come up and help her with her hair, so she stepped in where I could not, and did a magnificent job, I might add.
And since said flu is still not quite done with me yet, I will now allow the photos taken that evening speak for themselves...
It makes me unspeakably happy to see these colors each day as I arrive.
(The door for the office is just to the right of this photo, outside of the shot. The azaleas are also now really in bloom; I should really take some more photos tomorrow.)
I took the above photo the day before all of the others. It was gray and chilly, but I think it makes a nice contrast for these blazing pink blooms.
But it's me and part of the point of starting this group was to help me get over the idea that I have to look/be "perfect" to post a photo of myself.
And so, here it is. Me, au natural.
(PS - I am behind in blog reading again; will try to catch up later.)
