This week's self-compliment:

Nicole, you are frugal and responsible with money.

Thank you, me.

I shop sales. I clip coupons. I peruse ads and make lists.

I hate paying full price for anything.

I plan errands based on where I am and chart routes according to the shortest distances.

I turn off lights and set the thermostat a bit higher - or lower - to save a bit of energy, and a few pennies too, in the process.

I have a splurge now and then, but I do my best to plan and budget for even those.

I recently joined the Be Proud of Who You Are group that LaidOutInLavender started. I am going to start with trying to post a weekly entry. If I can do that for 12 weeks in a row (save the week we are on our cruise, because we will not be doing the Internet thing), then I may just try daily.

One caveat - there are a few things I do not bake from scratch. Like yeast breads. But of the things that I do bake, I've mastered several that are oft-requested:
