Thanks, everyone, for your input and kind words. It is so different than what I've had in years, it is hard to get used to. Someone said it might take a week (ashbychick?) - just in time for the cruise - I hope you are right!

After the cut, the stylist brushed my hair forward, but then I pushed it behind my ears, as shown in yesterday's photos. When I showed Rob the two different ways, he seemed to like it brushed forward. So, today I tried styling my new 'do similarly to what she did (though not as poufy - why do stylists tend to make one's hair poufy?).

Not sure what I think. I had a hard time getting a photo that shows it well (lighting, angle, etc.) ,especially how it looks from the front...

Oh, I think it's SO CUTE! It's a true pixie bob, all you need is fairy dust and wings!

I actually think that the tousled look in the front really softens your features. You have a strong nose and cheekbones and with the wrong hair cut that could make you look more masculine, but this one is very feminine and soft!

Thanks, shush. I think I will liked it styled forward like this as it grows out a bit more. I do like how it looks from the side at this length, though!

Oh --- I'm going backwards through posts, so I didn't get to your first one -- I think you look great. I think it highlights your eyes and smile.

I like it both ways. This way it looks more playful and pixie-like. It reminds me of Madonna in her "Papa Don't Preach" video!

You are one of those lucky women who can be daring at the salon and come out looking great (and I still love you anyway ;-)). I love how it makes your eyes pop. Right now, I think it's just a teensy bit short, but by cruise time, it will have grown just enough to be perfect. And I agree with another comment that you will probably be loving the ease of it on vacation.

I love your new cut. It looks great on you.

Very cute! The few times I've cut my hair short it always took a couple weeks to really get used to it. But, it looks great :)
